We sometimes do Reading Centers in Reading class. The students really seem to enjoy them!
Some students are using a word work game, some are writing their ABC's on a dry erase board, some are listening to a story at the listening center, some are using pointers and pointing to letters around our classroom and making the sound of the letter, and some are reading a letter book on a comfortable bean bag chair. The students rotate when the timer goes off every 4 minutes so that everyone gets a turn at all of the centers!
