Science Lab - 2/23/21

 During the Science lab this week, students used toothpicks and 30 marshmallows to build the tallest tower that they could.

The tallest one in our class was 30 cm!

 I just happened to walk into the classroom when this group was using instruments during Music class.

Minute to Win It Games!

Blake beat me by piling more pennies on his popsicle stick!

Ryan beat me by getting more skittles on his plate using the spoon!

Tommy and I ended in a tie by each getting one card into the bowl!

I didn't get any pictures of the marshmallow toss because Mrs. Gadwell and I were both playing!

We caught more marshmallows than Cecilia and Roman did!

Ash Wednesday

 

We learned about Ash Wednesday, discussed "burying the Alleluia", and discussed Lenten Promises of either giving something up or doing something extra during Lent. 

We went to the church and received ashes on our forehead and then said a prayer.

 

100th Day of School!

 We are officially 100 days smarter than we were on the 1st day of school!

We predicted where we would end up if we walked 100 steps outside of our classroom and then walked them to see!

We wrote about our Wacky Wish ~ what would we wish to have 100 of?

We wrote what we would buy if we had $100!

We made 100 thumbprints!

We read several 100 day stories.

We listened to a couple of 100 day songs!

We put 100 things into our gumball machines at home last week!

We found 100 Hershey kisses hidden in our classroom and matched the number on the bottom with the numbers on our 100 chart!

We did 100 exercises!
