Water Unit Science Lab

We began our water unit by pouring a little water into a flat dish.
We wrote a letter on a piece of paper and then put the flat dish of water over the letter.
We noticed that the letter got bigger.

We then practiced pouring water and using an eye dropper.

Mrs. Tucker gave us each a straw.
We looked through the side of the cup to see what the straw looked like, it appeared to be bent.
We took the straw out of the water, no bend in it.

Next, we tried to see how many drops of water we could fit on the top of a penny.

The last thing we did, was wet a piece of paper and tried to stick it to the smartboard.
The students decided that it stuck because it was wet.
They decided that it would fall of the wall when it dried, and they were correct!

Sometimes you just need to play in the leaves!

We sang a song we learned about raking leaves and then threw them up in the air!!!
