This week we are learning about Fire Safety! We enjoyed a visit from the Southgate Fire Department ~ Lieutenant Hatfield and Sargent Moore were very informative! We learned about calling 911, Stop, Drop and Roll, "Don't hide, get outside", and about all of the equipment on the fire truck! We hope that all families have had a "HOME" fire drill so that everyone knows what to do in case of a fire!

We have been in school for 4 weeks now, and the new Kindergarten students are settling in nicely! We are learning letter sounds, practicing writing the beginning sound of what we are drawing in our Writer's Notebooks and have completed a unit on Our 5 Senses in Science. In Mrs. Gadwell's classroom, we have been graphing, making patterns and learning about the many gifts of nature that God has given us!
