We finished working with ramps and cars this week!
We asked the question, "Which goes farther, a light car or a heavy car?"
Thanks to the 4th graders for taping pennies to the cars to make them heavy!

Computer class this week was spent taking the STAR standardized test!
All student's scores went up in Early Literacy, some by a hundred points!
The students enjoyed spending time in the Stem Lab today!
It's great to see them build different things using the materials given.
They also worked at one station on coding and tried to get the knight to capture the flag!
Oops, I completely missed posting the picture from Reagan's birthday!
We celebrated Reagan's Dec. 16th birthday on Dec. 7th and she was student of the week that week!
Happy 6th birthday, Reagan!
We've started a new unit, Movement and Motion, in Science.
We discussed how things move by a push or a pull.
Mrs. Tucker demonstrated how a stuffed octopus moved just by being released, no push or pull.
We explained the concept of GRAVITY in Kindergarten terms!
The students then used ramps and toy cars to experience the force of gravity.
The question we were answering today was "Does a car go farther on a 1 book ramp or a 2 book ramp?"
