Reading Centers

Some days, we do Reading Centers in our classroom.
Each group of students works at a reading center for a certain amount of time.
The reading centers reinforce the concepts we have been working on in reading class.

These students are finding the beginning sound to an object and putting the acorn with that sound together.

These students are rolling the dice and finding the paint splat with the beginning sound on it and putting a splot dot on it.

These students are 'reading' a familiar text ~ the memorization of this familiar text is the beginning of reading!

These students are putting a plastic dog together and reading the beginning, middle and ending sound on the dog.

These students are rolling letter dice and putting the three letters together to form a word, then writing the word on the dry erase board.
