The students examined lima bean seeds that had been soaking in water for 6 hours.
The seed coat was easy to peel off, and the students could easily take it apart and
see the small plant inside the seed that is ready to come out.
We also examined real plants including the roots, the stem, the leaves and the flowers.
We then put some pictures in order of how the seed looks as it grows.
