Daily Classroom News		Looking Ahead to Next Week
We learned the /l/ sound and added Liam to our word wall.	Mon.	Don’t forget a snack, a water bottle AND a clean desk towel! We have Spanish and Computer class today! Last day to order from the Cookie Sale!
We practiced our color words! We continued our Animal unit in Science today!	Tues.	We go to Computer CLASS TODAY! Casual day if you became a PTO member this year! Dine to Donate at BJ’s Brewhouse!
We learned the /r/ sound and added Reese and Ronin to our word wall! We continued talking about community helpers in Social Studies class.	Wed.	Halloween Party Parade at 11:15 12:05 Dismissal
We used word work games while Mrs. Shook did a Pre-test on the sight words we will learn in November.	Thurs.	Today is Library Day – don’t forget to send the library book in the library bag. We will go to the Science Lab today!
Mrs. Tocco will be here ~ Mrs. Shook has to take care of a tree that fell on her cabin up north. L	Fri.	Today is Gym Day – wear your gym uniform and tennis shoes. We go to Music class today, too! SHOW AND TELL DAY!
HOMEWORK: 1.   Reading – Jj Homework – Draw 3 pictures that begin with the /j/ sound. 2.   Handwriting -  p. 51-52 u 3.   Numbers 5 – 10- Count and Color – Count the pancakes, color the ten frame, write the number.
Sunday’s Gospel Reading – October 28, 2018 Hearing the Word – Mark 10:46-52 Questions you can ask your child: On the Way to Mass – What would you like God to heal in your life?  Why do you think it would be possible? On the Way Home From Mass –Which of your five senses are you most thankful for? Why?
Comments: 1.      Our Halloween Party is Tuesday.   Your child should wear his/her costume to school, bring a bag to collect treats, and whatever you signed up to bring.  If you are blowing up balloons, they were in your child’s backpack with the prizes yesterday– the prize goes inside the balloon, then you blow it up.  Please bring them to school in a large garbage bag on Wednesday!  Thanks so much to everyone for your help to make our party a success! 2.     The weather has cooled down, but we will continue to go outside for recess until the snow falls!  Please make sure your child has a coat, hat and gloves to help him/her stay warm for the 15 minutes they are outside each day. Girls are welcome to wear leggings or pajama pants under their skirts for recess, we will take them off during school hours. 3.    Please remember that the school bell rings at 7:55, and the tardy bell rings at 8:00.  It is VERY IMPORTANT that your child is on time for school.  If your child is late, they need reminders of what I have already told the class as a whole, and it is distracting to the entire class.  We go to Math and Religion class at 8:15 every day.  If your child is later than 8:15, they have missed calendar, prayer, and the beginning of Math and Religion class. Thank you for being considerate of the whole class!
