Center time with Mrs. Horner's Class

We work on many different skills in out Center room.
This activity had the students walking around the room with a clipboard with a paper with fall pictures and words on it.  They found the picture that was hanging in the classroom and colored it on their worksheet.  This helps with print awareness.

This activity is a game with keys and locks with letters of the alphabet on them.
The students had to match the letters on the key to the letter on the lock.
This helps with letter recognition and fine motor control.

This activity had the students using bingo dabbers to find and dab the number 5.
This works on number recognition and fine motor skills.

At this center, the students were working with a partner to find different fall shapes (differentiating) and counting them, then writing the number.

The students were using children tweezers to pick up the correct number of leaves (pompoms) to put on the tree.  Again working on number recognition, counting and fine motor skills.

When the children finish working at the tables, they may choose a toy to play with on the carpet.
They picked a variety of activities and had to cooperate and take turns with their friends to play.
