We began our Retreat in the gym, the students listened to directions and then acted as fish or whales. Some students were the taggers in the middle and had to try to tag their friends. If you got tagged, you became seaweed and had to sit down and your arms became flowing seaweed and could tag others.
We then watched the Veggie Tale movie about "Jonah and the Whale" and
ate a fish and whale snack!
Mrs. Cross read us the story "Jonah and the Whale" from the bible.
The students were asked to close their eyes and reflect on the story and think about when or where they could pray to God and he would hear them.
We went into the center room and painted a whale.
We discovered a hidden message on the whale!
The Bible verse "You can come to me and pray and I will listen to you!"
We ended our day evangelizing!
We went to Mrs. Barnes preschool room and told our preschool friends what we had learned!
