Comments:
1.   An email should be coming home soon!  The Thanksgiving Feast will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at lunch time.  This is a fun traditional thanksgiving feast cooked by St. Pius volunteers. Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn and a dessert will be served. The cost for Kindergarten students is $4.00.  Please turn this in by Tuesday, Nov. 13th.  If your child is not going to eat the feast, please let me know!  We will make an Indian headband to wear and will sit with our 7th grade buddies at the feast.
2.   In Reading, we have learned the sounds of 22 letters of the alphabet and are now blending three letters to form words.  You can help at home by spreading out each sound in a word and asking your child what letter makes that sound.  Especially in the homework assignments!  I don’t care if each word is spelled correctly, I want to see if the child knows the letters that make each sound!  So ‘friend’ might be spelled ‘frend’ using Kindergarten Spelling.  Or phone might be spelled ‘fon’.  Those are the sounds we hear!
  1. Thank you so much for taking the time to come to Parent Teacher Conferences this week!  I love sharing your child’s progress and the fun activities we are doing to help them learn even more with you!
