We took our magnets outside to see if most things in nature are magnetic.

We came upon a squirrel that had died, so Mrs. Tucker, being a science teacher, we checked to see if the squirrel was magnetic.
Mrs. Tucker sprinkled iron filings on a magnet and we watched how the filings are attracted and repelled by different parts of the magnet. Some of the filings even stood up on the magnet.
We used one magnet under the table and one on top and it was strong enough to move the magnet through the table.
