Science Lab - Measuring Water

Today in the science lab we measured water!
We had a variety of containers, and poured 100 ml into each one.
We noted how different 100 ml looked in the different shaped containers!

We finished our lab by making a mark on the masking tape on the plastic cup.
The mark indicated where we thought 100 ml of water would measure on this cup, pouring it from one of the other containers we were using.

Science Lab - Create a boat that floats!

In the Science Lab today, we created a boat that floats and holds pennies!

Some students were able to place 100 pennies in their boat before it sank to the bottom of the bin!

Social Studies Lesson - Martin Luther King Jr.

Today in Social Studies class we learned more about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We began our lesson by looking at a white egg and a brown egg and discussed how they are similar to the skin color of different people.
We then broke them open and observed that the inside of both eggs was exactly the same.
Just as the inside of people is the same.

We then worked on a small book about Martin Luther King!

Today is her 6th birthday!

Happy birthday, Gabby!

First Mass as a Kindergarten Family

Today we attended Mass for the first time as a Kindergarten family!
The students did a great job being reverent and listening carefully to Father Larry.

When Mass was over, we observed the nativity that Fr. Larry talked about in his homily!

Happy New Year!
