Stem Lab

 Every week we will be going to the Stem Lab instead of our Center Room.

The students used their imaginations and fine motor skills to create different things with the different materials on each table.  We then rotated so everyone had a turn at each center.

Halloween Party Fun!

 Costume Time!!!!

We played a game where we popped balloons with a pin!

We played musical chairs!

We played Halloween Bingo, too!

And then we went on a parade around the block!

The students really enjoy their Thursday morning blessing from Deacon Chuck!

 

October ~ Saint of the Month

 Kollin was the Saint of the Month from Mrs. Horner's class.

Kollin does an excellent job of living out our school’s mission.  I am impressed by his attention to detail on his daily work.  He makes sure not to rush and puts forth his best effort.  Kollin is always there to help his classmates when they are having trouble.  I admire his reverence during our daily prayers in the classroom.  Kollin is a great example of a saint among us!

Reagan was the Saint of the Month from Mrs. Shook's class.

She is always very prayerful and kind to her classmates.

She fallows the rules in the classroom and offers help to other students when they need it!  She always tries her best on all the activities and assignments given.

She is a quiet presence in our classroom who is a wonderful example for others.

Fall ~ Science Lab

 
We began our lab by going on a fall walk.

We observed the grass, the sky (and doesn't it look beautiful in this first picture!), the trees and the leaves.

We then went into the lab and created a tree based on what we saw!

This tree will go on our season wheel in the spring!

Willow is Student of the Week!

 Willow is our Student of the Week!

We celebrated her October 23rd birthday on Monday!

Happy Birthday, Willow!!

Thursday Blessing

 Deacon Chuck came and gave us a blessing after Mass again today!

The students are learning to be prayerful and reverent.

They are also learning to respond 'Amen' after the blessing.

Science lab - 10/18/22 - comparing earthworms to mealworms

 Today in the Science lab, we compared earthworms to mealworms.

We looked at the physical similarities and differences between the two.

We also looked at the environment and food each prefers.
