Seed Science Lab, April 26

 Today in the Science Lab, we looked at many different kinds of seeds.

Mrs. Tucker cut open many different fruits and we looked at the seeds inside!

Did you know that only fruits have seeds, not vegetables?

We found the seeds inside a green bean.

So a cucumber and tomato are fruits.

We then were able to take apart a lima bean seed.

We took off the seed coat and looked at the food and embryo inside.

 Our 7th grade buddies filled and hid our Easter baskets!

The students loved finding them!

Science Lab - Paper airplanes and Hoop gliders

 The students used their engineering skills to make a paper airplane and a hoop glider that would fly.

After they tried each one, they adjusted something to see if it would fly farther!
