Puzzle time in Kindergarten!

 

Science Lab - Sept. 21, 2021

We talked about the season of Summer today!

Mrs. Tucker showed us that the trunk of a tree actually matches gray better than brown!

We made a tree to represent Summer and will make one for every season, then put them all together in the Spring.  

Science Lab - 5 Senses

 Today we used 4 of our 5 senses on a nature walk.

We listened with our ears, looked with our eyes, smelled with our nose and felt with our skin.

We moved the warm wood chips over until we felt something cool and wet underneath.

We listened to the air conditioner.

We felt a leaf.

We smelled different things in the garden.

Then we drew 3 things we used each sense to explore.

We used our eyes to see different shaped leaves.

Show And Tell

 We do Show and Tell as part of our English Language Arts studies.

We stand in front of our classmates and give clues about the item we brought to school that is hidden in our back pack.

We tell what color it is, what size it is and something special about it.

Each student then calls on two classmates to guess what they brought.

They then show the item to their friends,

As the year progresses, the students will write the clues about their show and tell and read it to their classmates!

This is a favorite activity of many students!

We've been busy in Kindergarten!

We drew a picture of ourselves after reading the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear".

We also bingo dabbed a t-shirt because "My new class suits me to a T!" 

We bingo dabbed our names and these will hang in our classroom all year!

We decorated a person to look like us!

They will hang here all year so we remember that "We Are Special!"

Everyone has a job in our classroom!

We all work together to help our class run smoothly!

We will change jobs every 2 weeks!

We made a tree with our name on it after reading the story "Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom"!

A new Kindergarten Friend
