Christmas Morning in Kindergarten
We enjoyed wearing our pajama's to school and getting a little surprise from Mrs. Shook!
Silly picture!
Then we went to the social hall and enjoyed a pancake breakfast with our 7th grade buddies.
Thank you so much to all of the wonderful Kindergarten and 7th grade parents who came to help!
We did a craft, made some reindeer dust, and even got to see Santa!!!
Science lab - Ice cubes and Bubbles
In the Science Lab this week, we timed how long it took us to melt an ice cube using only our body!
Most students were able to melt it in under 3 minutes!
Then we used a straw and a tray with a little water and dish soap to blow bubbles.
We tried to fill the tray with bubbles.
We tried to put the straw into the bubble without breaking it.
We tried to blow a BIG bubble.

Water Science Lab, Dec. 12, 2019
We did a sink and float water lab today.
First the students predicted what each object would do,
then they put it into the water and circled what it really did.
Next we used a black marker to make a line on a coffee filter.
We put a couple of drops of water at the tip of the filter and watched it spread.
When the water spread to the black line, the color of the line showed orange, blue, and brown.
The official term for this is chromatography ~ using water to separate soluble materials.
